Welcome to the Branding Babe Blog (Hi, I’m Kenzie)

Well. Hi.

If you found your way here, pull up a chair. Grab something warm to drink. I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Kenzie, the brand and web designer behind Branding Babe Creative Studio. Most days you’ll find me at my office desk in California, generally. Laptop open. Iced coffee I forgot about twenty minutes ago. Candle going. Pajama pants nobody can see on the Zoom call. That’s the real picture.

This little corner of the internet is where I get to talk about the thing I love most. Helping small business owners build brands that actually feel like them.

I could go on about my story for paragraphs (and I will, stick around, that post is coming). But today I want to do something a little different. I want to introduce you to what this blog is really about. What I believe. Who it’s for. And what you can expect if you hang around.

Here’s what I actually believe about branding

Your brand is more than your logo. It’s the first vibe people get when they find you. The fonts. The colors. The way your website feels when it loads. The captions, the tone, the little flourishes. All of it.

Your brand should attract, not chase. When it’s working right, dream clients find you. You stop hustling for attention and start drawing the right people in on their own. That’s the whole game.

Cohesion is the single biggest lever a small business has. Pretty doesn’t sell. Cohesive does. Consistent does. Intentional does.

Pretty is easy. Pretty that works takes a minute. Anyone can make a cute logo in Canva. Fewer people know how to make that logo actually do its job. I care about the second one.

Every small business deserves to feel seen. Including yours. Especially yours.

You are not starting over. You are starting with more. That isn’t a quote from a Pinterest board. That’s the truth I needed to hear when I was rebuilding this business from scratch, and it’s the truth I want every dream client who walks through my door to hear too.

This blog is for you if...

You’re a small business owner or creative who’s tired of your online presence feeling... almost.

You’re service-based, product-based, or somewhere in between. You’ve been doing the work for a while (or you’re just starting, and you’re doing it scared), and you want your brand to actually match the business you know you’re building.

You want real talk, not business jargon. You want strategy, not just pretty things. You want someone in your corner who gets it, who’s been there, who still works from her kitchen table most days too.

If any of that sounds like you. You’re home.

What you’ll find here

Every Tuesday, a new post drops. I’m writing about:

  • Branding strategy for small businesses (the real stuff, why it works, how to do it)

  • Website tips, mostly Squarespace and Showit, with the occasional Shopify detour

  • The psychology of color, typography, and why certain brands feel expensive while others feel meh

  • Behind-the-scenes of my process, my packages, and how I work with clients

  • Real talk about running a creative business. Burnout, boundaries, bookings, all of it.

No fluff. No “hustle harder.” No guilt-tripping you for not having figured it out yet. Just honest posts from a real person who’s still figuring plenty of it out herself.

How to use this space

Poke around. Read what pulls at you. Skip what doesn’t. Bookmark the ones you want to come back to. Share the ones that feel like they could help someone else.

And if something resonates (or even if it annoys you), come find me on Instagram and tell me about it. I answer my own DMs. I love the conversations that start there.

Your next move

Hit follow on Instagram so you catch new posts when they drop. That’s where I live most days, and it’s where we actually get to talk.

And when (or if) you’re ever ready to stop DIY-ing and invest in a brand that does the work for you, my services page is right here. No pressure. No pushy. Just an open door.

Welcome to the blog, friend. I’m so glad you’re here.

xo, Kenzie
